Traditional tie-back offerings have been limited to standard sized snap hooks with smaller gates. When using these lanyards in non tie-back applications the size of connection point is limited. With the new compatibility guidelines, larger snap hooks (also known as rebar or pelican hooks) can now be used in tie-back applications giving the user the ability to snap into various anchorage points or tie back around them. Large aluminum size snap hooks with a 2-1/4” gate openings are light weight and easy to carry. Large flat alloy steel snap hooks with a2-1/2” gate openings fit a variety of anchors including many concrete wall forms. Double action carabiners with a 2-3/16” gate use a captive eye to help prevent roll out. All of these options accompany our standard snap hook version in both single and double leg versions for 100% tie off.
